As an associate attorney, Megan Waugh’s practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation matters including elder law, probate, wills, trusts, and conservatorships. Megan makes regular appearances in the probate court, and recently Ms. Waugh successfully argued before the California Court of Appeals. She manages cases in both pre-litigation and litigation stages, and has successfully reached cost-effective resolutions for the firm’s clients.
Megan received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, majoring in International Studies with a concentration in International Law, and minoring in French. While at the University of Illinois, Ms. Waugh was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, the National Collegiate Scholars, and was a research assistant for the head of the Sociology Department whereby she conducted research for articles in the process of publication. She also earned her J.D. from Pepperdine School of Law where she graduated cum laude. While still at school, Megan’s article A Broke(n) System: Comment on the Supreme Court’s Decision to Rule on the Equal Access Provision in Douglas v. Independent Living Center and its Potential Impact on the Affordable Care Act was published in the Journal of National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary. She also earned CALI awards for the highest grade in Constitutional Law and Business Planning while still attending Pepperdine.
In December 2013, Megan became a member of the California Bar and is admitted to practice in all California State Courts, as well as the United States District Court of the Central District of California.
